1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Four Door Sedan Advertisement

The wraparound windshield was just one of many dramatic design changes on the 1955 Chevrolet. Most notable was the fact that the fenders were brought up to the full height of the beltline and a unique dip in the beltline occurred behind the front door. All four fenders were visable from the drivers seat. This coupled with the new windshield and rear window allowed the driver more visibility and eased parking.

As you can see in this 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Four Door Sedan the interiors were roomy, brighter, more colorful and featured two tones in bright colored vinyl's. The new Bel Air fabrics had the look of custom quality usually found only in higher priced automobiles.
